HR ManagementThis course offers an in-depth exploration of human resource management (HRM) strategies within the context of Chinese business globalization, using CHINT´s operations in Egypt as a pivotal case study.
This course first provides an overview of the Chinese businesses globalization trends and examines key drivers of Chinese business globalization, supported by practical examples. Then it introduces the cornerstones of Chinese culture, including the philosophies of Lao Tzu, Confucius, and Hanfeizu, and their impact on business practices. Focusing on the case of CHINT in Egypt, participants will gain insights into cross-cultural HRM, learn the essential competencies for cross-cultural communication, and interpret the Chinese HRM system in a global context.

This session introduces the three stages that Chinese businesses have gone through in globalization, analyzes the drivers of globalization with specific examples, and explores the ecosystem that Chinese outbound enterprises have established during the globalization process.

Beginning with introducing the philosophies of Lao Tzu, Confucius and Hanfeizu, this session offers CHINT's experience in Egypt and its globalization process. The story is told from the perspective of Dr. JT, who transitioned from being an engineering director to the General Manager of CHINT in Egypt.

This session analyzes how CHINT effectively manages cross-cultural human resources in Egypt across five dimensions: recruitment and selection, diversity and bias, time management, building business strength, and performance and compensation.

This session summarizes the key competencies for cross-cultural communication and explores different approaches to working with different people. Professor Lu also shares a model interpreting in Chinese way the HRM system in the context of globalization.
